We can assume that this is the copy that Balkanyi herself selected to exhibiit at the annual Pointe et Burin show in Paris, since it shows signs of having been mounted, and, on the verso, of being priced at 250 Francs.

She loved looking for little objects in the flea markets, and this penknife fork and spoon set with its image of a soldier, must have amused her – especially when she could place the peasent lady  on the blue box next to him, offering flowers.
